Valentine's Day.

Valentine's Day was special this year.

The love bug bit me so I put together a tablescape, made a homemade card, crafted up a flower arrangement from the flowers Drew gave me, and I bought corny heart balloons. I made cupcakes. I cooked dinner. We tied a balloon to each of our dogs and couldn't stop laughing. We rented a movie and fell asleep on the couch.

It was perfect.

We totally planned on dressing up but juggling setting this up, working, cooking, and all that jazz...We both decided we'd keep it real and stay casual. :) Don't be jealous of our stunner shades y'all. ;)

Also, lots of changes and big news will be shared here on the blog next week. Stay tuned! :)

Here is something to take into your weekend. My dear friend Nycia let me read a message out of her Joyce Meyer daily devotional on Tuesday... and y'all...it could NOT have came at a better time.

"Are you doing what you really believe you should be doing at this stage in your life, or have you allowed fear and lack of confidence to prevent you from stepping out into new things --- or higher levels of old things? If you don't like your answer, then let me give you some good news. It is never too late to begin again! Don't spend one more day living a narrow life that has room for you and your fears. Make a decision right now that you will learn to live boldly, aggressively and confidently. Don't let fear rule you any longer.

It's important to note that you just can't sit around and wait for the fear to go away. You will have to feel the fear and take action anyway. Or as John Wayne put it, "Courage is being scared to death, but saddling up anyway." In other words, courage is not the absence of fear, it is the action in the presence of fear. Bold people do what they know they should do --- not what they feel like doing."

Truer words have never been spoken.

Lord, show me any narrowness in my life and help me to take the steps of faith that break the rule of fear over my life. Amen.

Have an amazing weekend! :)
